When Life is a drag and you want out You’re workin’ too hard and you’re filled with doubt You don’t know if the causes you fight are your own anymore I got some medicine for ye Two beers and a rock n roll show That’s all you need to have a good time And if your havin trouble with that kind o’ dough I’d be happy to lend you some of mine When you’re startin’ to feel your step is gettin’ a little tight And your wonderin if anything you’re doin’ is for any kinda right Life’s bleak man, it’s just no fun anymore I’ve got some advice for ye Two beers and a rock n roll show That’s all you need to have a good time And if your havin trouble with that kind o’ dough I’d be happy to lend you some of mine When the days get longer and longer and the nights are too damned short And you never seem to get enough sleep, the alarm always pops that cork The coffee shop just doesn’t do it for ye anymore I got a few words for ye Two beers and a rock n roll show That’s all you need to have a good time And if your havin trouble with that kind o’ dough I’d be happy to lend you some of mine So get a grip man, don’t you slip ‘Cause we’re gonna pitch a fit tonight before we kip And don’t you worry your pretty little head anymore ‘Cause I’m about to tell ye what tonight’s got in store… Two beers and a rock n roll show That’s all you need to have a good time And if your havin trouble with that kind o’ dough I’d be happy to give you some of mine

I’m gonna make a road Stone by ugly stone I know it’s time to go I’m goin’ back home Don’t say that I should stay I’ve paid and paid and paid Alone most every day I’ve got to make my way I don’t have any more time to waste I’ve got to look freedom in her face And that’s why I’m comin’ home to you I want you to know The lazy days are done And there’s a candle in my heart That’s been burning so low But the days are dark and long And the wax is almost gone So I’m sweeping out a place To let a truer fire glow I don’t have any more time to waste I’ve got to look freedom in her face And that’s why I’m comin’ home to you If there’s a demon on the road I’ll kill him with my bow And in the soft morning dew I’ll kiss his shadow as I go And with a mind like a beam nothing stands between My life my love, my goal, To make it back home “Cause I don’t have any more time to waste I’ve got to look freedom in her face And that’s why I’m comin’ home to you

King Fool 03:41
I may be clever witted, But that don’t mean I’m not stupid I may be smooth But that don’t mean I don’t need cupid I may be a lion but I cuddle like a lamb I pretend when no one’s looking That I don’t give a damn Chorus: I’m a fool I’m a King Damn king Fool… I may be strong But that don’t mean I won’t fumble I may act straight But that don’t mean I won’t stumble I may be simple minded but I pounce like a cat and you can call me an arrogant bastard just for thinking that I’m hunting for reason But I get lost in the storm I’m just like everyone else But I refuse to conform I’d like to think that women should be obscene But not hurt ‘Cause I’m a sensitive guy But I’ve got the horn

I was an old man I’m not an old man anymore I was a courtier in the house Of common success I wore the robes they gave me, I wore what they wore I used to hate myself I don’t bend that way anymore Now I’m a courtesan In the art of May you be blessed? And I’ll never return to that kingdom If I must leave my treasure chest Civilization, civilization Is an Iron Lung I drank from their golden cup Wines of the deepest red Blood of the soldiers dyin’ So that I might be fed Where is my Love? Where is my dignity? This chair fits me like a glove There’s no room to Breathe I’m standin up I’m walkin out on you I’ll never return to your kingdom Your way is savage and cruel Civilization, civilization Is an Iron Lung I will live in love not in obligation Immerse myself in harmony And not in isolation Spread my wings to shelter Those in sufferation I will return My blood is thick and true For I’m never apart from freedom No matter what I do Though civilization may be an iron lung My breath is mine to choose

Hair Like a Crow I was a dragon in his cave Hording jewels and maids An epiphany on the breeze Directed you to me You crawled into my lair You didn’t know what you’d find there I opened up my wings To protect you, pretty thing You soon became my star I hope you never stray too far Hair like a crow Cheeks as soft as snow Your being is aglow I want you to know I love you I love you I was a cynic in his room Living only for my doom In the town I was a fool A drunken soldier escaped from rule Always on the lam Untouched by softer hands But a flower on the road Seduced my senses back to home I stood and watched a while, Waiting to kiss her with my smile Hair like a crow Cheeks as soft as snow Your being is aglow I want you to know I love you I love you Bending in the breeze We fell together to our knees When her petals touched my skin I loosed my hold and soon gave in To a comforting embrace The sweet softness of her face Now I find beauty in the things At which slander I used to fling I stand so proud and tall, Against the strength of her, my wall Hair like a crow Cheeks as soft as snow Your being is aglow I want you to know I love you I love you

Your body bakes Your spirit quakes And you throw your self under Another crashing wave

My body is the earth My flesh is clay My vision is the sun that illumines the day I’ve walked amongst the living and I’ve tried to believe I’ve tried to fit in and I’ve tried to achieve But the ways of mankind just resembled disease So scared of one another that we can’t stand peace But GENTLE waves upon the sand are what shapes the beach I have so much to learn and so much to teach Embracing every terror Drinking every joy Praying in the moonlight Each step we will enjoy The wound heals the healer Through open skin the spirit breathes The broken flesh of our lives May find relief in the breeze What we need is not more anger But the courage to breathe So take up your aching body and allow to receive I want to see you revel in the palace of your heart I want to hear your lips sing a light in the dark I want to feel your strength as your eyes widen and spark This brew is not so bitter, just pleasantly tart! Embracing every terror Drinking up the joy Praying in the moonlight Each step we will enjoy If I scribble another line will the earth be saved? If I find my true nature will my stress fade away? Can I give my whole life for A truth I can’t see? Is there a secret part of you that looks exactly like me? Beyond the towering walls of reason is there a place to be free? Can I unite with I to sever the ties and just be? Is there a purpose to these verses? To some the answers are so plain… Yes. We need to live the questions, not be mired in shame! Embracing every terror Drinking up the joy Praying in the moonlight Each step we will enjoy
